Welcome to the Evelyn City Neighborhood

Evelyn City is a subdivision of a large Tampa neighborhood known as Old Seminole Heights and was initially developed in the early 1900s. For the purposes of this blog, the boundaries will be: the Hillsborough River to the north, 275 to the West, 22nd Street to the East and Sligh Ave to the South.
There are many issues that need to be addressed and resolved in the area, however I feel that this is a great neighborhood to live in. We have a wonderful diversity of homes, people, parks, and businesses.

Lane lines need to be clearly defined. How many of you have been in the inside lane of westbound Sligh Ave at I-275 and been pushed into the left turn lane for I-275 as you drive under the interstate? It has happened to me twice in the last two weeks. The lanes through the intersection are not clearly marked. For some reason all of a sudden, the drivers in the outside lane keep thinking that everyone who is in the inside lane as they approach I-275 MUST be getting on I-275. This trend has increased dramatically over the past several months, not sure why, but something needs to be done to address the problem.
