From the Seminole Heights Community Garden group: Just a quick announcement that the rain barrel workshop date has indeed been moved to Saturday May 30th at 9am. This is our confirmed date. Please let me know if you can attend.
Thank you!
Robin (robin@greenerpixels.com)
P.S. If you have already received a free barrel from the County Extension Service, you will not be eligible for another free one, but, please let your friends and neighbors know to come too. You can also purchase a barrel from the extension service for $20.

The Garden Coordinators would like to invite all of you to come down to the garden for the next few Saturdays to finish up the necessary to-do's in the garden. They've made a great list that I'll be posting on the website momentarily. This list will kick-off the "required hours" for our Worker Bee members. If you joined the garden as a Worker Bee, this is the time for you to start logging in your hours. (Reminder: each Worker Bee member is required to log in at least 10 hours of work for the garden per season.)
Our new log-in book will be at the garden and will include a daily sign-in sheet and a personal log sheet that will include the garden rules and a waiver, that we need for everyone to sign. Whether you're a Worker Bee or a Gardener (with a personal plot) these forms need to be signed by May 31st. We will leave blank forms in the garden for you to fill out if you can't make it to the garden on a Saturday.
We have just a few more personal plots left, if you would like to get one - please let me know. After this weekend, (Sunday, May 17) we will merge the remaining unclaimed personal plots into the communal section to make sure we're taking advantage of all that great growing space! Please let me know before then if you would like to reserve one.
We will have the white cotton shirts available at the garden on Saturday, May 16th. They're $15 each. If you would like to order an organic shirt, we'll have the order forms for those as well. Organic shirts are $20.
If you have not yet received a bumper sticker for volunteering on previous work days, come to the garden on Saturday and we'll be sure to get one for you.
Don't forget our Rain Barrel Workshop on Saturday, May 30th - 9am. The workshop is free and you will receive a voucher for a rain barrel from the County Extension Service, if you have not already received one.
