Welcome to the Evelyn City Neighborhood

Evelyn City is a subdivision of a large Tampa neighborhood known as Old Seminole Heights and was initially developed in the early 1900s. For the purposes of this blog, the boundaries will be: the Hillsborough River to the north, 275 to the West, 22nd Street to the East and Sligh Ave to the South.
There are many issues that need to be addressed and resolved in the area, however I feel that this is a great neighborhood to live in. We have a wonderful diversity of homes, people, parks, and businesses.

TECO is trimming trees in the neighborhood. They have not yet gotten to EC but will be here in the next month. This time they are butchering the trees and effectively killing many. If you want to see what they're doing drive on Central Avenue between Hanna and Hillsborough. All that trimming was done by TECO. They seem to be on a rampage this year.

If you are home during the day you can stand and watch them trim your trees to make sure they don't butcher them. If you are not home during the day but have a neighbor who is you can have the neighbor protect your trees from excessive trimming (I use the word trimming very loosely).
