The Holidays are upon us and the economic climate is not good, that is going to cause crimes to increase. Please report any & all suspicious activities and keep a watch on your neighbors. This came in from an email this afternoon:
Today, between 12:00-13:30 a home on the 7000 N. 12th Street block was broken into, (near Hamilton). The burglars kicked in the front door. There were AT LEAST two people involved, maybe more.
They stole; a .38 Black Ruger Revolver and ammo to go with it, jewelry, flat screen TV, DVD player, checkbook, Christmas gift, and, etc.
If anyone saw anything unusual in this area around this time please contact TPD at 231-6130. The officer at the scene urged neighbors to call if they see anyone who appears out of place, please call.

Welcome to the Evelyn City Neighborhood
Evelyn City is a subdivision of a large Tampa neighborhood known as Old Seminole Heights and was initially developed in the early 1900s. For the purposes of this blog, the boundaries will be: the Hillsborough River to the north, 275 to the West, 22nd Street to the East and Sligh Ave to the South.
There are many issues that need to be addressed and resolved in the area, however I feel that this is a great neighborhood to live in. We have a wonderful diversity of homes, people, parks, and businesses.
